Petersen House just below, with a kids play area already established and in use to the right of the proposed outbuilding.Danish immigrant, Niels Petersen, built this structure in 1892 for his future wife, Susanna. Now being managed by the Tempe History Museum, the house is in need of an adjacent outbuilding which would be used as exhibit space for tours, housing artifacts related to the house and period and informational kiosks. In addition, public restrooms, office space, mechanical rooms for security cameras, internet, and other components. Also, plans have been made for kitchen space designed for catering needs for neighborhood gatherings, birthdays, and weddings. Conceptual drawings and details have already been created.
