Team Amethyst (Pre-K): Planting Seeds of Possibility

Our Amethyst students love watching things grow! This fall, they're exploring the lifecycle of pumpkins, discovering how quills and ink worked long ago as they write with feathers and liquid watercolor, and learning about caring for the Earth through creek adventures where they collect, paint, and return rocks to nature. Whether they're singing about the Ghost of John and Flippy Floppy Scarecrows with Kris, practicing mindfulness with Jagadisha while listening to autumn sounds, creating creek art with Lore, or going on imaginary Jurassic Park Safaris, our youngest learners are discovering the world around them.

From exploring letters of the alphabet and counting pumpkins into numbered cauldrons, to playing Minecraft in the woods classroom, discovering how climbing bars work like telephones, and making fall art with hay and leaves, these friends are experiencing hands-on learning that helps them flourish. Through Neighbors Helping Neighbors, our Amethyst class is excited to support expanding scholarship opportunities so more families can access this kind of nurturing educational environment. Just as plants need the right conditions to grow, every child deserves the chance to learn, explore, and develop in a supportive school community where they can reach their full potential!
