Toronto - Food Banks Mississauga

Proceeds from your donation will go towards Toronto's selected local hunger relief charity: Food Banks Mississauga. 

ABOUT: We lead a network of 60+ agency members, including neighborhood food banks, pantries, cupboards and meal and snack programs, working together to realize a food-secure Mississauga. This means your support goes beyond one organization to reach neighbors in need across the city! We provide emergency food through our agency network so neighbors in need have food today and use our front-line knowledge and experience to advocate for government policies and programs that will decrease food bank use for tomorrow.

IMPACT: To create a food-secure Mississauga, we not only provide food and resources to support neighbors who are facing food insecurity now, we also advocate for long-term, systemic policy change to address the root causes of food insecurity, including poverty.

From June 2024 to May 2025, Food Banks Mississauga saw over half a million visits - the highest ever in our history. These numbers tell us more about who your generosity supports. They also paint a picture of the ever-growing food insecurity crisis. We had 48,539 food bank visitors, 28% of which were children.
