War can follow a child long after they leave danger. Loss, displacement, and fear can unsettle everyday life. Children and families need time, trusted relationships, and practical support as they recover.
LYNC—Love Your Neighbor Community—brings people and partners together to make that support possible. This fundraiser is dedicated to Trauma Healing for Ukraine’s children and families, part of the Rebuild Ukraine Now! initiative.
What your support helps make possible
- Space to share: group sessions and creative activities where children can express feelings and connect with others.
- Tools for coping: practical exercises and individual counseling to help participants work through stress and difficult experiences.
- Care around the child: support involving families, caregivers, local partners, and therapy teams.
A foundation of care
LYNC’s November 2024 project report documented 449 children and 81 adults reached through 21 therapy teams and 39 group sessions in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugee communities in Germany. These are historical results from that reported project, not current totals or promises of individual outcomes.
The report describes group work, individual counseling, creative workshops, and coping exercises. It also describes teams adapting to power outages and air raids so support could continue.
