Freya and Gator need a safe place to fully recover!

Gator and Freya have been through too much already in their short 7 months of life. These two shepherd mix puppies arrived suddenly at one of our partner shelters in rural VA, with only the information that they were gravely ill. The shelter mobilized as quickly as they could, rushing the puppies to a vet, who realized that Gator was close to dying, and Freya needed immediate treatment. The vet worked hard to stabilize both puppies, and luckily they both survived. Gator is doing better, but is still not out of the woods, he needs a stable environment to recover fully. We want to get them both out of the shelter where they can recuperate from the unknown ordeals that they have been through in their few months of life. They are bonded, so we want to ensure that they do not have to recover from separation on top of everything else. We are confident they can make a full recovery with us, and that when they are ready we can find them a forever home where they can not just survive, but thrive. These puppies deserve to play and be carefree, and we want to make sure they have that chance! Please help us get Gator and Freya to Homeward Trails!
