I’ve joined the 24th Annual PlayOffs with Constellation Stage & Screen, and I’d love your support!
The PlayOffs is a short-play competition where teams of actors, writers, and directors create brand-new theater in just a few days while raising money to keep professional, local storytelling thriving in Bloomington. Every donation counts, like a crowd-funded “walk-a-thon” for the arts, and your gift gives my team bonus votes and a better shot at winning the championship.
Why it matters to me
The Bloomington theater scene has been a major part of my family’s life for over 25 years. It started with Bloomington Playwrights Project, then Cardinal Stage, and now Constellation Stage & Screen. We have been part of the PlayOffs almost from the very beginning.
I started as an actor, spent many years as a director, and this is my fifth year as a writer. Our family’s journey began when our oldest son won second place in a youth playwriting contest 25 years ago. That moment opened the door to a lifetime of involvement in Bloomington theater.
How you can help
Every donation helps, and gifts in increments of $25 earn me extra votes.
Donations made before Friday, October 3 will be matched up to $1,000 per team.
You can watch the performances live and vote for us on November 2.
Winning would mean the chance to use Constellation’s space for one night, a prize that needs $1,250 of fundraising.
Your support helps me and my team, but more importantly, it helps Constellation keep theater accessible, affordable, and impactful for our community.
🎭 Please consider a gift and back my team. Let’s bring home the win!
