Service Unit #131 serves troops in North Dallas, Addison, and Park Cities. We represent over 120 troops and 1200 girls and plan about 10 events a year for our Girl Scouts.
We utilize the funds in 3 primary ways.
1) Financial assistance for our Girl Scouts and Troop Leaders. All Girl Scouts should be able to participate despite any financial hardship.
2) $150 Contribution to a Gold Award Recipient's lifetime membership. We consider Gold Award Girl Scouts to be our Troop Leaders and volunteers of the future and want to honor their hard work in this way.
3) Minor expenses of Community Service supporting the Birthday Party Project, North Texas Food Bank, or other charities.
