Academy on Wheels

The New Orleans Academy of Fine Art's Academy on Wheels has just wrapped up its school year, completing its mission to bring high-quality fine arts education into the community through our partnerships with Martin Behrman Charter School, Dolores T. Aaron Academy, and the Youth Empowerment Project of New Orleans. 

With three qualified and diverse Lead Teachers, we were able to complete all scheduled classes, build strong relationships with the schools’ and organizations’ art instructors and administrators, as well as create a fun, educational, and creative experience for dozens of students week after week. 

Now that folks have seen the bus out in the community, we have received requests for many new partnerships with schools, hospitals & special events. Your donation will expand free access to fine arts by covering the cost of supplies, our art instructors and bus upkeep so we can reach even more children across New Orleans.
