Phoenix is in the Fight of His Life

Phoenix was diagnosed with diabetes. He seemed to be stable but when he was recently surrendered to Homeward Trails, the stress was too much for his body to manage along with the diabetes. Phoenix stopped eating and went into diabetic ketoacidosis. On top of that, Phoenix was also anemic and having an episode of pancreatitis. Any of these issues would be require Phoenix to fight for his life, but when you take them together, it's almost insurmountable. But Phoenix wants to fight. He has been nibbling at his food, showing signs he wants to live. We need your help to give him that chance to fight. His care is expensive - he has been hospitalized and is on IV fluids and medication to try to stabilize his blood sugar. Any help you can provide Phoenix would be greatly appreciated.
