Raise the Region for The Women’s Center

Every day in our community, someone makes the brave decision to reach out for help.

They might be leaving an abusive partner with nothing but their children and a small bag. They might be a college student trying to make sense of a sexual assault. They might be a neighbor, a coworker, a friend — silently carrying fear, shame, or trauma while the world moves on around them.

At The Women’s Center, Inc., survivors of domestic and sexual violence find safety, support, and hope when they need it most.

We provide 24/7 crisis intervention, emergency shelter, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, and prevention education — all at no cost to those we serve. When someone calls our hotline in the middle of the night, we answer. When a survivor needs a safe place to stay, we open our doors. When someone walks into court feeling terrified and alone, we stand beside them.

But none of this happens without support from our community.

Every dollar raised through Raise the Region directly helps survivors rebuild their lives. Your gift can help provide:

• A safe bed for someone fleeing violence
• Counseling services for a survivor processing trauma
• Advocacy support during court proceedings
• Safety planning for a parent protecting their children
• Prevention education that stops violence before it starts

My peer-to-peer fundraiser is about more than raising money — it’s about raising hope. It’s about standing with survivors and saying that abuse has no place in our region. It’s about ensuring that when someone takes that courageous first step to ask for help, The Women’s Center is ready to respond.
