I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand just how much a person’s life can change when they have the right people in their corner.
Several years ago, Maegan became Shanae’s legal guardian, and watching Shanae’s life unfold since then has been pretty incredible. She’s gotten a job, moved into an apartment she loves, found love, gotten healthier, grown more independent, and—most importantly—built a life that feels like hers.

None of this happens in a vacuum. Mattingly Edge has been there every step of the way—helping Shanae find meaningful work, making sure she has great supporters around her, advocating alongside her, and building the network of people and resources that allows her to keep moving toward the life she wants.
Shanae’s story is exactly why I’m so proud to raise money for Mattingly Edge every year.
