Dear Family and Friends,

I am excited to share that I have been selected to participate in the 51st Annual Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. This program focuses on leadership development, character building, and community involvement to prepare young men for the transition into adulthood, while also providing a platform to raise scholarship funds for higher education.

As a senior at Hickory Ridge High School (Class of 2027), I have dedicated my high school career to balancing academics, leadership, service, and athletics. As a dual sport student athlete in Football and Track & Field (specializing in sprint events and competing at the AAU and New Balance Nationals Outdoor levels), athletics has taught me discipline, accountability, and perseverance. Alongside sports, my leadership and community experiences include:

  • 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte (MYOB)
  • Youth Leadership at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Greensboro NC
  • Deloitte PACE Program Participant at North Carolina A&T State University
  • Hickory Ridge Varsity Football & Track & Field
  • New Balance Track and Field Competitor

As I prepare to attend a four year university and compete in Track & Field at the collegiate level, I am asking for your support in my scholarship campaign. Your contribution is a direct investment in my higher education and future.

How You Can Support:
  • Online: Donate directly at www.mightycause.com/story/jaycecurtis
  • Mail: Checks or money orders can be made payable to the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte.
Note: Deadlines for donations, advertisements, and souvenir booklet submissions will follow the official 2026–2027 Beautillion schedule.

Thank you for your continuous love, encouragement, and generosity. I look forward to making you proud as I step into this next chapter.

With appreciation and gratitude,
Jayce M. Curtis
