Warren is a sage elder of the community—musician, church goer, family member, UofL fan, and thrifting enthusiast.

Without expectation, there is no opportunity.

At Mattingly Edge, we know that with high expectations and quality support, opportunity starts to unfold around those with disabilities.

Warren has attended and performed countless open mics and bluegrass jams from Fairdale to LaGrange, and recently became more involved with his church music ensemble. He goes to church every Sunday, periodically attending a Bible study series or joining others on stage for service music. He has even co-presented at TASH Conference on his music journey.

Warren can shop a rack at the thriftstore with the best of us,  and has a flair for stylings one sees on the silver screen. He is quick with a witty joke, TCM trivia, or Godfather impersonation.

The supporters on Warren's team (led by Emily) help make the community accessible to him. Through such efforts, Warren first met KC four years ago at an open mic in the Highlands. That is where he first saw KC perform and admired his bass music. Since then, KC became invested in Warren's and Emily's friendship, and recently joined as Mattingly Edge's newest board member!

Your support directly benefits Kentuckians with disabilities to find their people, find their place, and share their gifts with the world!

Shanae

Shanae | Employee

Shanae wanted to work, and Bubba's 33 gave her the opportunity to do it. Ever since she helped her dad with his lawn care service as a child, Shanae has valued the power of work. When the team at Bubba's 33 - Fern Creek learned about Shanae's experience and can-do attitude, they hired her to work 3 days per week in their dining room! Shanae loves her team and they appreciate her hard work.

Matthew

Matthew | Fitness Buff

Matthew had a great job at UPS and his very own bachelor pad, but he was looking for a third space where he could spend time with others who share his interests. With Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as his inspiration, Matthew decided to hit the gym - more specifically, the Downtown YMCA! Matthew lifts weights 3 times a week and loves to see his fellow gym bros.

Jay

Jay | Student

Jay's dream was to transfer from Jefferson Technical & Community College to Western Kentucky University! But he wanted to adjust to the demands of college life before moving to a new city. With support from Mattingly Edge, Jay got an A in his toughest course and officially transferred to WKU in Fall 2026!

Mia

Mia | Intern

When Mia started exploring future careers, she was drawn to the media and communications aspect of the music industry. With support from Life Launch, Mia connected with Louisville Public Media and became a Waterfront Wednesday intern! Mia was LPM's go-to for day-of event setup and support.

Adam

Adam | Volunteer

During his time in Life Launch, Adam was supported by one of our staff to volunteer at Animal Care Society! His job was to photograph all incoming adoptable cats for their website. The following year, Adam was able to leverage his volunteer experience to obtain an internship with Alley Cat Advocates!

Claire

Claire | Head of Household

Claire has lived with her parents in the Iroquois Neighborhood since she was born. Recently, she and her parents had the opportunity to buy a house close by where Claire plans to live on her own. She has been practicing cooking, creating her own schedule, and learning how to manage a household in preparation!
