I first got involved with St. Vincent de Paul Louisville as a 7-year-old back in 2006. For 10 years, I had a nonprofit organization of my own called Makenzie's Coat Closet, and we collected and distributed new and gently used coats to the clients and surrounding community at St. Vincent de Paul. From very early on, I saw with my own eyes the incredible work this organization did, the support they provided to so many in need, and the widespread impact they had on those less fortunate in Kentuckiana. For a decade, my family and I worked hand in hand with the SVDP staff and volunteers, and my passion for giving back to those in need grew.

Fast forward to 20 years later, I now have the incredible privilege to serve as Special Events Manager at St. Vincent de Paul. I get to work hand in hand once again with the amazing staff, volunteers, donors, and clients of this organization. To come full circle so many years later is such an honor, and my love for this organization continues to grow with each day.

Many of you have supported my philanthropic and fundraising efforts for all of these years, and it is so exciting to me that this is now my job! On this Give for Good Louisville Day, I have a personal goal of raising $750 for my organization - we have an overall goal of $45,000 raised for our incredible feeding programs here on campus. We need your help! Donate now to help us reach our goal, make a difference, and change so many lives on #GiveforGoodLou
