The third floor office at the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum is a stunning example of Tudor Revival design, with intricate details that speak to the elegance of a bygone era. At the heart of the room hangs a magnificent light fixture, a prime example of Tudor Revival ornamentation and craftsmanship.

Today, only one original light shade remains, while the others have been lost or broken over time. We are partnering with Madison Iron Works and RLD Art Glass Restoration to repair the surviving shade and recreate three additional shades, faithfully matching the originals. The project also includes safely rewiring the fixture to ensure it illuminates the office as it was meant to be seen.

A few years ago, we restored the medieval stained glass windows in this room, and this light fixture represents the final step in bringing the space back to its original splendor. The total cost of the project is $3,000, and your support will allow us to complete the room’s restoration, preserving its beauty for generations of visitors to enjoy.

How You Can Help: Your donation will directly fund the repair, recreation, and rewiring of this unique fixture, ensuring the office shines once again as a centerpiece of Tudor Revival artistry. Every gift brings us closer to completing this final, transformative step in restoring the room to its former glory.
