Why this matters to all of us

When a child is in the hospital, the whole family feels the weight of worry, stress, and uncertainty. Families want nothing more than to be near their child, but the costs of travel, lodging, and meals can quickly become overwhelming. 

That’s when Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana (RMHCK) steps in with what families need most: a home away from home — a warm bed just steps from the hospital, nourishing meals after long days, and a community of care that reminds them they are not alone on this journey. 

Why this matters to me 

For nearly 14 years, I’ve walked through the doors of our House in Louisville and seen the difference RMHCK makes. I’ve met families who didn’t know how they would manage without this place. I’ve laughed and cried with volunteers who pour their hearts into serving. I’ve thanked donors whose generosity keeps our doors open.

Every day, I see generosity, humanity, and love in action. That gives me hope — and today, you can be part of that hope.

I'm asking to thoughtfully considering giving to my 24-hour campaign to support families who will find themselves at our doorstep. Your donation will change a family’s story. It means they don’t have to choose between being with their child or affording the basics. It means brothers and sisters can be nearby. It means hope and strength when families need it most
