25 Years of Believing in the Power of an Idea
For more than 25 years, Nick Briere has been part of the Connecticut Invention Convention, first as a student who experienced the program firsthand and now as its CEO. Few people understand the transformative power of invention education more deeply because Nick has lived it.
As a young inventor, Nick discovered that an idea does not have to start out perfect to have the potential to make a difference. What matters is having the opportunity to ask questions, solve problems, take risks, learn from failure, and keep going. The Connecticut Invention Convention gave him that opportunity.
Today, Nick leads the organization that helped shape his own journey, working to ensure that the same opportunity is available to thousands of young people across Connecticut and beyond.
That mission is at the heart of Push for Entrepreneurship (PFE).
PFE is more than a fundraiser. It is an investment in the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs, problem-solvers, and changemakers. Every dollar raised helps make hands-on invention and entrepreneurship experiences more accessible to students, regardless of their background or ability to pay.
Nick’s story is a reminder of what can happen when a young person is given the chance to pursue an idea. Twenty-five years ago, that opportunity helped put him on a path that ultimately led him back to the organization itself. Today, he is helping build that same pathway for the next generation.
At PFE, we’re not just raising money. We’re creating more opportunities for the next Nick.
Join us in pushing entrepreneurship forward and helping ensure that every young person with an idea has the opportunity to see where it can take them.
