CSNIP has performed 392 spay/neuter surgeries on feral cats alone since January 1st. This amounts to $21,315 in subsidies so far this year! Annie's Feral Cat Fund is nearly out of funds for this important program and we have 6 months left in the year.
Annie's Feral Cat Fund is named for a long-time CSNIP staff member who passed away in 2021. Annie was passionate about feral cats and we chose to honor her years of service with a fund dedicated to the humane use of spay/neuter for feral cat population control.
For just $25, a feral community cat that is live-trapped and brought to CSNIP through this program is spayed/neutered, ear-tipped, and vaccinated. The caregiver then agrees to return this cat back to the trap site after surgery.
The regular fee for cat spay/neuter is $80. CSNIP provides a $55 subsidy per cat to the caregiver to support their efforts to help maintain healthy feral cat populations.
