BEN DID GO 10.0

Hi, my name is Morgan Johnson, and I’m training for the BEN DID GO 10.0. A 30-mile paddle from Catalina Island to Newport Pier. This will be my fourth year participating in this incredible event honoring Ben Carlson’s legacy. I’m aiming to raise $2,000 for the Ben Carlson Foundation, which supports ocean safety initiatives and student-athlete scholarships. Ben Carlson was a dedicated Newport Beach Lifeguard who tragically lost his life on July 6, 2014, during a rescue attempt in the ocean. He was the first and only Newport Beach Lifeguard to die in the line of duty since the service began in 1923. Ben was known for his love of the ocean and was a Division 1 Collegiate water polo player at UC Irvine. His legacy continues through the Ben Carlson Memorial & Scholarship Foundation, which raises funds for scholarships and community contributions to improve water safety.
