When we are not quite who or what we were a moment ago, but also not yet who we might become, when we most fully occupy the threshold space."
- Renée Gregorio
During the Ohio River Way Challenge, we become vessels for the river's movement and flow, and when we are brave enough to be that vessel, the energy surges.
As magnificent as these vessels are, the Voyager canoes are nothing without a trusted captain and crew. Together, we match the energy of the river: calm and quiet in the morning, songs and chatter filling the air through the day, and serious focus when the skies turn gray. We are constantly in motion, embracing every moment.
Exploring an Island- 2025 Ohio River Way Challenge
I've been involved with River City Paddle Sports since 2021. In that time, I’ve built deep bonds with like-minded people and a personal connection with the waters that give us life. This will be my second Ohio River Way Challenge that traverses over 488 miles from Huntington, WV to Evansville, IN. I will be joining that vessel for its last leg of this challenge. A journey almost 200 miles that begins May 25th in Louisville, KY and comes to an end June 1st in Evansville, IN.
I want to celebrate the progress of this organization and foster a deeper connection between our community and the nature that surrounds us. There is truly nothing more satisfying than seeing the looks on people's faces as our massive Voyager canoes roll into their river town! 😯 😂
As a steward of the paddling environment, I feel a responsibility to the well-being of the river and the society that relies on it. I am so grateful for your support and your donation to my Ohio River Way Challenge.
