Jade is my sweet 1‑year‑old baby who has been fighting for her life. We adopted her from a shelter when she was just 3 months old, along with her adoptive sister, Cindy. From the moment we brought them home, Jade has been adventurous but cautious-curious about the world, yet gentle and thoughtful in everything she does. Her bright little spirit brings so much joy to our home.
Recently, Jade was hospitalized with severe pancreatitis and acute kidney injury, conditions that require urgent and intensive veterinary care. When she arrived at the emergency hospital, she was also suffering from severe dehydration, low potassium, dangerously high pancreatic enzyme levels, and a low body temperature, all signs of a rapidly declining, life‑threatening situation.
During her emergency evaluation, Jade’s medical team discovered internal complications that required immediate surgical intervention. She underwent both an enterotomy and a gastrotomy, two invasive abdominal surgeries performed to remove life‑threatening obstructions and address severe internal damage. These procedures were critical to relieving her pain, preventing further deterioration, and giving her the best possible chance at survival.
Seeing her in pain has been heartbreaking, and I am doing everything I can to make sure she receives the care she needs. Unfortunately, the cost of emergency treatment and surgery has become overwhelming, and I cannot cover it alone.
Your donation goes directly toward Jade’s veterinary specialist and emergency care, including post-surgery treatments, and helps ensure she gets the lifesaving treatment she needs right now.
Every contribution no matter the amount brings us one step closer to giving Jade a fighting chance. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is also a tremendous help.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
