Help Bring Tide Portal to Fall River's Waterfront

The Fall River Arts & Culture Coalition (FRACC) is proud to help bring Tide Portal, a large-scale public artwork by artist Lena McCarthy, to the city's waterfront through the prestigious Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative. Selected through a highly competitive national process, Fall River is one of a limited number of communities awarded funding to create innovative public art that transforms streets into welcoming public spaces.

After 3 years of delays- Now, we're asking our community to help us cross the finish line.

This is a matching campaign, giving local supporters the opportunity to amplify the impact of Bloomberg Philanthropies' investment in Fall River. Every dollar raised will help match this nationally recognized grant by covering the remaining installation costs made necessary by several years of permitting delays, redesigns, and increased project expenses.

Inspired by the rhythms of the tides, migration, and Fall River's rich textile and immigrant history, Tide Portal transforms an ordinary public space into a lasting work of public art that celebrates our city's resilience, creativity, and connection to the sea.

Your donation will directly support artist assistants, installation equipment, materials, volunteer coordination, research and reporting and other essential project costs. Whether you give $10 or $1,000, you become part of bringing this extraordinary artwork to life.
