Mountain Towns 2030

Since 2019, Mountain Towns 2030 has been bringing mountain communities together; city and county leaders, ski resorts, businesses, and nonprofits to move beyond talk and toward systemic, high-impact climate solutions. We’ve built a collaborative platform where communities can learn from one another, align around shared goals, and take action that simply wouldn’t be possible alone.

And it’s working.

Communities are setting more ambitious climate targets. Regions are launching coordinated strategies. Solutions are being deployed that strengthen resilience, protect local economies, and safeguard the places we love. Together, we’re proving what’s possible when mountain towns work together.

But there is still a great deal of work ahead.

As climate progress at the federal level faces new headwinds, our communities can’t afford to slow down because for mountain towns, there is no Plan B. But this sense of urgency unites us. It fuels our innovation, strengthens our momentum, and keeps us focused on achieving the climate outcomes our communities depend on.
