Celebrate 5 Years of Fighting Fake Clinics

Reproductive Transparency Now (RTN) was founded in August 2021 as a response to increasing harassment happening outside of abortion clinics in Chicago, IL. Most anti-abortion harassers have a common goal: to convince pregnant people seeking abortion care to go to a "crisis pregnancy center" nearby instead. These crisis pregnancy centers, or "fake clinics", use empty promises, shame, guilt-tripping, medical disinformation, coercion, and worse to prevent as many people as possible from accessing abortion care—regardless of what the pregnant person wants or needs. Most people have never heard of these crisis pregnancy centers, which leaves them susceptible to their deception.

Reproductive Transparency Now (RTN) advances reproductive justice by raising awareness about anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers through community outreach, education, and advocacy.

This August, Reproductive Transparency Now (RTN) is celebrating FIVE YEARS OF FIGHTING FAKE CLINICS. When we started this movement five years ago, we never could have predicted how our programming and impact would grow at the local, state, and national levels.

RTN is an all-volunteer, community-based organization with a unique mission. For the past five years, we have worked hard to make a big impact with limited resources through community and volunteer events, deep-dive education sessions, mentorships and internships for students, and coalition-building.
