There’s Always Room at Our Table.

This Giving Tuesday, St. John the Baptist Gildehaus is participating in #iGiveCatholic with a goal of raising $20,000 to purchase eight new, durable cafeteria tables for our students.

Our cafeteria is about so much more than lunchtime.

Every day, our students gather around these tables to eat, talk, laugh and spend time together. They are a place where friendships grow, younger and older students connect, celebrations happen and some of the simplest moments of our school day become lasting memories.

Simply put, these tables are where our school community comes together.

Why We Need Your Help

The cafeteria tables we currently have haven’t held up as well as we’d hoped. These tables are used and loved every day and they need to be durable enough to handle all the activity that comes with daily school life.

Rather than continue making do with tables that aren’t meeting the needs of our students, we want to invest in durable replacements that can serve our school community for many years to come.

Our goal is to purchase eight new cafeteria tables at approximately $2,500 each, bringing our total fundraising goal to $20,000.

More Than a Table

A table may seem like a simple thing, but at St. John’s, we know what happens around it matters.

It’s a seat saved for a friend.

It’s a conversation over lunch.

It’s big kids sitting beside little kids.

It’s class celebrations, special events and everyday moments together.

It’s a place to feel like you belong.
