Ten years ago, I participated in the Cycle Across Illinois ride in memory of my good friend and CCSPD brother, Police Officer Jason Gallero, who lost his life in the line of duty.
At the time, I thought it would be one ride.
Ten years later, I’m still riding.
What began as a tribute to Jason and support for his surviving daughter has become something much bigger. Today, I ride for every law enforcement officer who made the ultimate sacrifice and for the families left behind carrying unimaginable loss.
ILCOPS (Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors) provides emotional and financial support, counseling resources, camps for surviving children, and a community for families of fallen officers who suddenly find themselves navigating life without their loved one.
This year, I’m asking for your support as I attempt to raise $1,000 for these families.
As a thank you, for every donation of $30 or more, I will send you an ILCOPS t-shirt while limited sizes and quantities are available.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps honor the fallen and reminds their families they will never be forgotten.
Thank you for supporting this mission and helping us continue to ride with purpose.
