Tim Kong's Peru Mission Trip - November 13-21

Friends and Family,

From November 13–21, I'll be traveling to Lima, Peru, with a team from Grace Fellowship Church. We'll be serving alongside our ministry partners at Hearts in Action (HIA), Pastor Paul and Pastor Alida, and the missionaries and local church family they work with every day.

I've been in ministry long enough to know that short-term trips aren't about swooping in to fix anything. They're about showing up, listening, and supporting people who are already doing faithful, long-term work in hard places. The missionaries we'll serve with give a great deal, and part of our job is simply to encourage them, pray with them, and put our hands to whatever they need that week.

We'll spend our days in ministry with children and families, working alongside the local church, and being present in communities where poverty is very real. We've been told to expect long days, rough roads, schedule changes, and more hugs from kids than we can count. We're going as guests and learners, ready to follow our hosts' lead.

How you can partner with me

1. Pray. This is honestly the biggest need. Would you commit to praying for me and our team from now until after we return? Some specific ways to pray:

• For the missionaries and local leaders in Lima, that they would be refreshed and encouraged
• For the children and families we'll meet, that they would experience the love of Jesus
• For our team's health, safety, unity, and flexibility during travel and ministry
• For open hearts, that God would use this week to shape us as much as anyone we serve

2. Give. The cost of the trip is $2,300 per person, which covers flights, in-country transportation, food, and lodging. Any gift, large or small, makes a real difference, and every little bit helps. Please don't feel any obligation; your prayers matter just as much.

3. Stay connected. When I get back, I'd love to share stories and photos of what God did. You'll be part of this trip, and I want you to hear how your support made an impact.

Giving online is the easiest option. Just use the donate button on this page. Gifts go directly to Grace Fellowship and are applied toward my trip.

Giving by check? Please make checks payable to Grace Fellowship with "PERU Nov'26" in the memo line. Please don't make the check out to me or include my name anywhere on it, or the church will have to return it. This is required by IRS rules on tax-deductible gifts. Mail or hand checks directly to me, not to the church. Please don't drop them in the weekend offering or at the Information Desk, and I'll get them to the right place.

If I have to withdraw from the trip, or if the trip is canceled for an unforeseen reason, your contribution will be applied to projects designated for this mission trip, such as medical supplies, construction/building projects, trip preparation, ground costs, or special projects. Any extra funds will go to the PERU Nov'26 short-term mission trip fund or other mission trip funds, and can't be refunded to donors or given to team members for personal use.
