Jen and Ruby's Fundraiser

Please help me raise money for the Brazoria County SPCA's Slumber Pawty!

I will be camping out with others at the shelter for a full 24 hours in a kennel with a dog to help raise awareness to the daily struggles of shelter pets and the people who care for them.  I plan to give the dog I'm kenneled with lots of pets, snuggles and treats while I'm there with them!

My wonderful dog Ruby, pictured with me, has the best doggo life ever going to parks like our own local Brazos Bend State Park, where she gets to go for long walks and see wildlife.  This is the life all the Shelter dogs crave and deserve.  With your help and support other animals can have the life of a loved, homed pet, be they a cat, dog or other pet needing placement.

Ruby will not be with me at the shelter....she will be at home where all pets belong, loved and cared for.  But for so many pets, there is not the blessing of a home.  There is the loud noise instead of a shelter where the animals are confused and frightened. Although shelter staff care so much for the animals in their care and try so hard to get them homes, without the support of the public through fostering and adoptions, the dogs, cats and other animals in their care have to stay at the shelter.  My spending a short 24 hours in a kennel is in an effort to highlight what the animals at shelters go though day in and day out.
