Over the last few years, Georgians have seen huge shifts in the health insurance landscape. During the 2023-2024 Medicaid unwinding, 500,000 Georgians moved from Medicaid to other forms of coverage or ended up uninsured.  Georgians saw their 2026 health insurance premiums rise by 114% on average after Congress allowed enhanced premium subsidies to expire.
