35 Thrive Campaign: Celebrating 35 Years of The Ballethnic Way

For 35 years, Ballethnic Dance Company has transformed ballet by placing our stories, our bodies, and our communities at the center of the stage. This year, we celebrate a legacy that changed American ballet forever: the 32nd Anniversary of Ballethnic's Urban Nutcracker, our beloved holiday classic rooted in Black culture, Atlanta history, and community joy.

From December 19–21, 2025, we return to the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in Decatur, Georgia, where families of all generations will gather to witness the magic of a ballet that reflects us — our neighborhoods, our rhythms, our brilliance.

Urban Nutcracker is more than a show. It is a movement, a tradition, and a cultural gift to Atlanta and the world.

And this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to invest in the legacy that made it possible.
