We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to explore, create, and shape their own future. As someone who works closely with our students, I see every day how access—to tools, training, and mentorship—can change a young person's path. At NOVAC, that access is at the core of everything we do. 

In our youth programs, young people gain access to resources that are often out of reach: cameras, computers, editing software, and guidance from working professionals. For many, it’s their first time using this kind of equipment.

We provide an opportunity to build real, transferable skills—editing, storytelling, communication, and time management. Students learn how to finish projects, share their work, and see themselves as capable creators. These are technical, in-demand skills that open doors to work in film, media, and beyond. But access to this kind of training is not guaranteed—especially as funding for youth programs continues to decline.

We are a small but mighty organization, deeply rooted in New Orleans, committed to providing high-quality, human-centered programs that make a lasting impact.
