About the Connecticut Invention Convention

For over 40 years, the Connecticut Invention Convention has been providing K-12 students with the opportunity to invent solutions to real-world problems. Each year, more than 12,000 students across the state participate, learning design thinking, STEM skills, and entrepreneurial problem-solving. The program culminates in the State Finals, where the top inventors showcase their work to judges, sponsors, and community leaders. Many receive awards, scholarships, and even opportunities for patent support that can launch their ideas into the world.
