Housing is our passion and changing lives is our purpose. The YMCA of the Roses Community Development team is truly one of a kind. 

 Together, we're creating new beginnings. Through 98 apartments and townhomes across York City and 120 rooms in our Men's Residence, the YMCA of the Roses helps low-income families and formerly homeless men find stability and hope.  

                                       After facing a housing setback, Nathanial has returned to the YMCA for stability and support. His warm spirit brightens our days.

Access to safe, stable, and affordable housing is not a privilege, it is a basic human need. Yet, for thousands of individuals and families in our community, the rising cost of living has made this essential necessity increasingly out of reach. Too many are forced to choose between paying rent and meeting other critical needs like food, healthcare, and education.

Our team mission is to change that.

We are raising funds to be able to continue our mission. Access to low-income housing—creating safe, dignified, and affordable places that people can truly call home. These homes are more than just buildings; they are the foundation for stability, opportunity, and hope. When families have a secure place to live, children perform better in school, adults are better able to maintain employment, and entire communities grow stronger.
