Hola, my name is Carmen Montes, and I am the proud director of Casa Flamenca.

As we reflect on 2025, we celebrate a year filled with transformative moments and remarkable achievements for our organization.

We kicked off the year with an inspiring concert season in February, featuring ten performances across New Mexico and in Phoenix/Tucson, Arizona. This was followed by a significant endeavor of massive 3 month renovations to our space, completely updating our indoor and outdoor venues, now making it a beautiful location not only for flamenco but also for other styles of music.

In June, we celebrated the grand opening of our tablao season (performance season), which ran through August.

Our ABQ Flamenco Off was a tremendous success. Despite facing funding challenges, we made it happen. This year, we hosted 7 incredible artists in residence from Spain, ensuring their P3 visas, housing, and other requirements were met so they could be here in Albuquerque. Our featured artists included Diego Amador Jr., Juani de la Isla, Kina Méndez, Jose Suarez 'Torombo,' Raquel Heredia 'La Rempomilla,' and Amparo Heredia 'La Repompa.'

Our fall programming introduced "Flamenco ES for Everyone," now in its fourth year. This heartfelt initiative aims to spread joy through professional performances across our community. We had the privilege of touching countless lives as we visited various centers, senior facilities, Public schools and performing arts schools sharing the magic of flamenco far and wide.

One of the highlights of the year was our 1st annual"Flamenco En los Balcones," literally translated to Flamenco in the balconies which captivated hundreds with a stunning concert in the heart of Old Town Albuquerque. The energy and enthusiasm from the community transformed this gathering into something truly special, culminating in a vibrant circle dance and a joyous flash mob that united everyone in celebration.

As we wrapped up the year, we proudly celebrated 17 sold-out concerts in both our Tablao al Aire and indoor Tablao. Casa Flamenca steadfastly pursues its mission to educate and inspire through the art of music and dance, warmly welcoming visitors from around the world into our space.

We are immensely grateful for the tireless dedication of our volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors, who believe in our mission. However, we recognize that our journey forward hinges on the continued support of our cherished community. If our work resonates with you, we warmly invite you to consider making a financial donation. Every dollar directly fuels our programs and helps ensure that flamenco continues to be a vibrant celebration that belongs to everyone.

Thank you for being such an essential part of our family!
