The Kristine Pettoni Foundation (aka The KPF) is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that helps Moms transition back to paid work. We honor the legacy of our namesake, Kristine Pettoni by continuing to uphold the values she held close to her heart: mentorship, education, resiliency, and community. She inspired us to create a space where women can enhance their skills, plan for the future, and establish a community while tackling the challenge of returning to work. Our goal is to get these deserving mothers back on the road to career stability and financial independence.

What we do.

The KPF operates two programs to help moms build the skills, knowledge, community, and financial support to help them return full-time to the workforce.

The Accelerate Program serves unemployed and underemployed moms who are struggling to make ends meet due to a lack of quality childcare, unexpected circumstances, or unpredictable pay. Our program focuses on the skills and support they need to secure a job in a sustainable career. The KPF provides a web-based curriculum, a one-on-one mentor, a panel of topic-specific advisors, as well as a financial stipend to cover any program-related expenses.

Graduates of Accelerate are invited to participate in the Elevate Program. Using the skills they acquired, participants are encouraged to submit grant proposals that demonstrate a catalyst for career growth and a path to financial independence. Grants can be given for a wide range of needs including childcare costs, continuing education, transportation needs, etc. The KPF pledges to give away a minimum of $10,000 yearly through its Elevate Program.

The KPF recognizes that all mother's needs are unique. We designed our programs to give each woman the individual support she needs to help her launch her new life.

 How you can help.

The KPF is a 100% volunteer, nonprofit, 501c3 organization. We operate solely on the goodwill of the community and the desire to create lasting change for the mothers who need it the most. By participating in fundraisers like GaGives you are helping us grow and give back to the Atlanta community.
