CCJ and Brazos Abiertos in Guatemala was born out of a God-given vision to meet the spiritual and practical needs of children and families in San José Pinula. Led by Sarah and Francisco Smith, the ministry exists to provide a safe place where students can receive educational support, a nutritious meal, and the love and hope found in Jesus. What began as a simple desire to serve has grown into a vibrant after-school feeding and educational center that is transforming lives one child at a time.
Today, CCJ and Brazos Abiertos continues to expand its reach, empowering students, strengthening families, and sharing the Gospel in both word and action. Through consistent care, discipleship, and community investment, the team is raising up a generation with opportunities, confidence, and Christ-centered foundations.
During our trip, we will be partnering with the leadership team at CCJ and Brazos Abiertos to serve, encourage, and help meet the needs of children and families in San José Pinula and the surrounding communities.
