On May 19th, 2019 Temple Beth Israel will host our first ever Lag B'Omer Fundraiser and End of Religious School Celebration. Lag B'Omer is a holiday between Passover and Shavuot that calls for a break from the semi-mourning of the Omer and celebrate by enjoying the outdoors.
During our celebration, we are asking Temple Beth Israel Religious School families to participate in our Lag B'Omer Fundraiser! Each student will be assigned to a TEAM COLOR and will participate in numerous activities including an obstacle course and a tug-a-war! Teams earn points for how much money they raise, how much “extra change” they bring in to fill up their color jar, how fast they run the obstacle course and getting 100 points for every parent (or grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.) they bring to the judging table.
There are many options to contribute:
- Flat Donation on our MightyCause.com fundraiser page
- Filling up your colored change jar with coins
- Purchasing Cotton Candy and Snow cones for $2 on the day of the event
- Bringing in Canned Goods for the Central CA Food Bank
Our goal is to raise $5000 to go to the religious school fund to purchase needed items such as security gates, security doors and updated sports equipment.
The brotherhood and sisterhood will be providing lunch for all Temple Beth Israel Religious School Students and their families.
