Bravely, formerly Magdalene St. Louis, is a residential community for women who have survived lives of commercial sexual exploitation (trafficking and prostitution), violence and addiction.
Located in the Old North neighborhood of St. Louis, we help women heal and rebuild their lives through free long-term housing, medical care, trauma therapy, education, and job readiness. Our goal for the women of Bravely is total transformation — lives defined by safety, sobriety and self-respect.
This campaign represents more than three-fourths of our annual budget of $380,000. Raising the majority of our operating funds once a year allows our small, hardworking staff to focus on the clinical needs of the women.
