This is our 10th year doing our Servathon, a community outreach event of enormous scale, when CLS students provide over 1,000 Acts of Service—including meals, volunteer hours, and handmade gifts to numerous non-profits and those in public safety—in one day!
In the morning, students will make blankets for babies, dinners for the homeless, gifts for hospitalized children, cards and crafts for pastors, doctors, firefighters, and police, cleaning kits for local shelters, an so much more! Throughout the day, High School students will travel off-site to serve at local non-profits, such as NIH Children’s Inn, Nourish Now, Shepherd’s Table, Habitat for Humanity Restore, A Wider Circle, Ben Gaither Senior Center, Forest Oak Senior Center, and more!
Our Senior Class will hand-deliver all the items to select non-profits the same day! We will create practical and encouraging gifts, meals, and supplies for Moco Police, A Wider Circle, Moco Animal Shelter, Gaithersburg Fire Dept. Station 28 and Station 8, Helping Hands Shelter, Interfaith Works, Laytonsville Fire Department, Mont. County Coalition for Homeless, NIH Children's Inn, Nourishing Bethesda, Rockville Pregnancy Center, Stepping Stones Shelter, Rebuilding Together Moco, Shady Grove Hospital, Shady Grove Pregnancy Center, Covenant Life Church, Asbury Assisted Living, and Food and Friends DC!
