May Food Drive for the Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank is a part of the Feeding America association and is a 4-Star Charity that provides for the hungry within the DMV area. That includes Washington D.C.; Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in MD; and Fairfax, Prince William, and Arlington counties along with the City of Alexandria in Virginia. 

Not only does the Capital Area Food Bank provide food for those in the DMV going hungry, they also provide support systems and education services about Nutrition, Food Waste, Advocacy, and technology in the fight against hunger in the USA. 

Throughout May, 2019 we will collect food in the office if you want to bring some in, but we will also engage in a digital food drive. Our digital food drive is hosted by mightycause and we are one the Capital Area Food Bank team. 

Our goal is $500 this may, and the Capital Area Food Bank’s goal this year is $50,000 in digital donations. $500, according to their website, can provide 1,250 meals.
