Takasago has a proud history of helping children and families in need. Since 2013, we have been one of the top fundraisers for Table to Table’s annual Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch program. Between employee donations, our matching gift program, and our corporate sponsorships, our fundraising efforts have provided over 1.6 million meals for our neighbors
Due to conditions created by COVID-19, we are unable to host an in-person fundraiser. However, we still have an opportunity to help our communities when it is needed most. We are proud to partner with Table to Table to raise funds to feed our neighbors.
We are hosting the Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch program “virtually” between October 19-30. Every donation by a Takasago employee is matched dollar for dollar. Donations over $5 will be entered into raffle drawings!
Although we can't all share a meal together this year, Takasago's support ensures that Table to Table can continue to rescue fresh, nutritious food and deliver it to our neighbors in need, free of charge. Remember, every $1 donated, provides 10 meals to our neighbors in need. Thank you for your support!
WHY DONATE?
- COVID-19: Prior to the pandemic, nearly 1 million people living in New Jersey were food insecure. Since July that number has increased 18.5% and the demand for food has never been greater.
- 1 in 4 New Jersey residents do not earn enough to afford the basic necessities of food and housing.
- 1 in 7 children in New Jersey do not know where their next meal will come from.
- Hunger affects people at every stage in life. Without proper nutrition babies can’t thrive, children don’t develop, students can’t learn, adults are not productive and seniors can’t stay healthy.

- Everyday Table to Table rescues & redistributes fresh, wholesome food that would otherwise be wasted.
- Since 1999, Table to Table has provided enough fresh food for 189 million meals and kept over 62,000 tons from landfill.
- Table to Table is 100% philanthropy funded, allowing the freedom to deliver to those most in need.
- Every $1 donated provides 10 meals. With your help, in 2020 alone, we will redistribute enough food (free of charge) to provide 27 million meals to hungry families in northern New Jersey.
