F.A.R.M. Is participating in the 2021 Rock Family of Companies Community Challenge! Please make a donation today to support our mission and help us win prize money that will aid us in reaching more people in our community. Meeting our financial goal benefits families in need of their fathers all across Michigan. For every father we offer services to an average of 3.5 children's lives and 2.5 mother's lives are changed.
Developing relationships between father and child – one family at a time.
Family Assistance for Renaissance Men (F.A.R.M.) is a non-profit organization focused on the rehabilitation and reuniting of fathers with their children. We offer a five part program to men in the metro Detroit area to assist them with barriers preventing them from carrying out their roles and responsibilities as father to their children.
SERVICES AND PROGRAM BENEFITS:
FATHER ACCOUNTABILITY MENTORING
Fathers will develop an understanding of factors leading to family deterioration and how to improve their own family dynamics. They will take part in a 10 week mentoring class that focuses on topics such as family structure, developing healthy relationships and financial literacy just to name a few.
FATHER AND CHILD RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
This part of the program relies on LMSW and MSW professionals to help fathers reunite, bond and build quality relationships with their children. In addition, co-parenting training is offered to both parents as well as planned father and child building events and activities.
EDUCATION AND SKILL BUILDING TRAINING
Fathers will achieve their educational goals to increase workforce marketability. Continuing education as well as working with skilled trades professionals help to ensure job placement opportunities.
LEGAL ASSISTANCE AND CHILD SUPPORT HELP
F.A.R.M. partners with several attorneys and local judges to assist fathers in correcting their child support issues, warrants, tickets and other barriers hindering them from connecting with their children. In most cases these services are free of charge to the F.A.R.M. participant.
HOUSING PROGRAM
By utilizing available community housing F.A.R.M. assists these fathers in locating stable housing to qualify for the court’s requirement of equal parenting time.
