OUR MISSION
Ghana Girls Connect Inc, exist to connect successful Ghanaian women and other women of color with young women who desire to succeed and thrive in their professional careers. Through cultural immersion, professional development, and women empowerment conferences and workshops, we seek to equip young women of color with tools and resources to be successful and make an impact in their surrounding communities.
CURRENT PROJECTS
The event we're currently planning is in leu of the Ghana Tech Summit that'll already be happening in Ghana this December. My team and I wanted to be able to have something similar for the younger community of girls. The event is called "TECHTalk & Self-Love". Not only do we have women speakers (who are located in Ghana) that have successfully startered their own Tech companies, coming to share their story and shed light on the benefit of women in the tech field. We will have panalist talking about confidence and sel-love and knowing that the women God created us to be are able to achieve and overcome any obstacle that stands between us and our dreams. We'll be giving away journals, feminine hygienic products, and many more. We also hope to raffle off a laptop to a lucky girl. I am Ghanaian but I live in the states, but I love my country and everything about it. I believe we are capable of so much and I want to be the catalyst that sparks a light in the life of a young girl who feels lost and hopeless, to feel whole and purposefull in society. I've reached out to organizations in Ghana who's missions align with ours if they're interested in collaborating. I beleive when we come in numbers we can make a big difference.
