OUR TOP FUNDRAISING WRITERS HAVE A SHOT AT WINNING THESE INCREDIBLE PRIZES!
These prizes will be chosen by top fundraising writers based on pledges raised:
We're pleased to host our first annual fundraiser: The WRITE-A-THON!!!
Invest a day in your writing and support the Louisville Story Program. Please join us on May 20th at Spalding University for a day dedicated to writing and creative comradeship. Tell your family and friends that you're devoting some time to your passion. Let them know that pledging donations in support of your creativity will also help the Louisville Story Program amplify the voices and stories of Louisvillians we just don't hear from often enough. All you have to do to sign up is register an account on this site by pressing the "Join This Team" button on the top of the screen. When you raise at least $100 in pledged donations to the Louisville Story Program, you’ll be eligible to participate in the Write-A-Thon on May 20th.
Whether you’re anxious to write new material or are working toward just one more revision, you’ll find yourself in good company at the Write-A-Thon where we’ll have quiet writing rooms in Spalding University’s beautiful Victorian-era mansion dedicated to productive woodshedding. If you hit a wall, don’t sweat it! Come to the first aid station for a writing prompt. You’ll also get:
We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support of the Write-A-Thon: Spalding University MFA Program, Kentucky State Parks, Feet to the Fire Writers' Workshops, Speed Cinema, Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, Actors Theatre, Speed Museum, Speed Cinema, Louisville Ballet, Copper and Kings, Woodford Reserve, Carmichael's Bookstore, Larkspur Press, Patrick Masterson Letterpress, and Heine Bros. Coffee.
