On March 20, 2021, we are hosting our Inaugural LYS-A-Thon Virtual Fundraiser. This event celebrates and brings awareness to the work we’ve done in the Tri-County Area since our inception in 2009 while also raising money for our vital programs. This event will be an all-day social media extravaganza where current and former members of our organization, family members, mentors, volunteers, and community stakeholders will discuss the importance of mentorship and how they have been personally affected by Lowcountry Youth Services. Lowcountry Youth Services is a 501c3 non-profit organization, meaning ALL funds go directly back into the organization.
Lowcountry Youth Services prides itself on providing our members with year-round emotional support, self-esteem, and extracurricular character-building activities throughout the year. Our programs help our members and their families to build the skills that will inevitably serve them well moving forward in life. Our key areas of focus as an organization are Leadership, Building Healthy Relationships, and College and Career Readiness. All skills taught in our programs have been proven to prevent adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and cultivate resiliency in youth.
As a part of this event, our members are helping in the fundraising effort by taking part in a competition that will allow them to win prizes by advocating for our work and raising money for the organization!
Like many organizations these days, registration/operating costs are rising quicker than most families can afford. We at Lowcountry Youth Services continually try to ease this burden with a wide range of fundraising initiatives. All money generated from our activities provides us with the necessities required to keep our high-impact organization alive in the Charleston Metro area.
The success of Lowcountry Youth Services takes a whole team working together to achieve success. When we work together and help each other, no goal is beyond reach.
