"Donkey; a domesticated member of the horse family, Equidae. The donkey has been used as a working animal for at least 5000 years."
But, at PBJ Connections, the donkey has played an important role in the mental and behavioral health therapy programs for many years. And, since 2008, I have been proud to call the Donkeys of PBJ Connections my best friends!
I have supported the annual Helping Horses Help Kids fundraising evening by donating silent auction items and in other ways. Helping Horses Help Kids has been an annual event, that has been enjoyed by hundreds of kind humans who support the therapy horses and donkeys that work so very hard making a difference in the lives of so many. But....
Not this year...the gala is in quarantine! But, the therapy animals and the humans that work so diligently to provide support, are not. Therapy sessions continue, daily. The therapy animals are hard at work, daily, giving love and support to many in need. Because, the gala has been put up in the empty stall for this year...the therapy animals and their humans needed to come up with other ways to raise funds...And, Dusty the Therapy Donkey is ready! Won't you join Dusty, and make a donation to PBJ Connections?
