Thank you for visiting our Running New York for Dylan fundraising page!

On Sunday November 5th, ten of our runners will join 50,000 others at the foot of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge on Staten Island. Each one is attempting to conquer 26.2 miles through the 5 boroughs in the 52nd New York City Marathon.

Our team is drawn from across the US from Oregon to Florida, as well as runners from Sandy Hook in Connecticut. fundraising for Dylan's Wings of Change, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to the memory of Dylan Hockley, one of the first grade victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

The foundation created Wingman, an experiential learning based program that fosters empathy and connection among participants. Wingman is used in schools to implement meaningful peer leadership. Students receive 2 days of immersive training to become activity facilitators for the younger grades. Schools enrolled in Wingman cover a portion of the program costs to ensure their commitment and engagement.

Your donations ensure that every school can join Wingman regardless of budget.
