We are excited to announce that we’re teaming up with Food Lifeline for the 17th year in a row to help feed kids and families this summer! From July 22nd – July 26th, we’re competing in Food Frenzy and have all sorts of fun activities planned that will help raise valuable funds needed to stock the shelves of local food pantries and summer meal sites across Western Washington. Last year, the competition raised $620,304. Of that, Seed IP raised $49,434!
Who is Food Lifeline and why Food Frenzy?
Food Lifeline is Washington state’s largest hunger relief organization, dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. Last year, they served 1,000,000 people experiencing hunger, 31% were children. Through their network of food pantries, meal programs and shelters, they served 213,000 meals every day. Our participation in Food Frenzy is needed during the summer months when access to free breakfast and lunch at schools is limited and parents who are already struggling to make ends meet, are forced to make tough choices when it comes to paying for groceries, medication, rent and utilities. Our support will have a material impact on summer hunger and will help increase access to nutritious, culturally relevant food for thousands of families this summer.
