What is ‘Staches for Storks?
Join ‘Staches for Storks as we use our facial hair growing abilities to represent the most defenseless of all people groups. We will all shave completely on the evening of October 31st and grow mustaches for the month of November, all the while using our fur lips to raise money. Then on November 30th we encourage all participants to put together a creative costume to show off your mustache and take a picture. We will have a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money and will hold a poll for the best costume/picture. If we get enough participation we may do prizes as well! And ladies, you can get in on the fun by encouraging the men in your life to grow and sponsor their fundraising efforts or do your own with an stick on ‘stache.
The idea for ‘staches for storks came from combining one supporter’s November birthday fundraiser, a ‘movember’ fundraiser, and a desire to see more men speak out for protecting the unborn. If you don’t usually sport a mustache, people will likely ask you about why you are growing it and it’s a great opportunity to share about Save the Storks!
