ABOUT DIGS WITH DIGNITY:
Our mission is to elevate the lives of those exiting homelessness by filling their houses with everything that makes a comfortable, dignified home. The families we work with include domestic abuse victims, veterans, those who have experienced a sudden job loss or those dealing with extreme health situations and have recently been rehoused with the help of their caseworker. We collect furniture and home goods from the community and refurbish, recycle every donation that comes in whether it goes in a home, or gets recycled to another organization. Our goal is Zero Waste :)
On average, it costs Digs With Dignity around $800 (trucks, movers, security) to furnish a home for one family. You and your team can make an important difference for the lives of a Chicago family in need!
